The Sixth Base Oil & Lubes Middle East 2017 (BLM) took place on the 3rd & 4th May 2017, the event is held alternatively in Dubai or Abu Dhabi in May of each year which is held alongside with the Middle East Petroleum and Gas Conference (MPGC).

The Gulf’s oldest and most renown oil conference in the region has been gathering C-Level executives since 2012. Focused on global and regional oil businesses, the conference provides both knowledge sharing from leading producers, suppliers, manufacturers, re-refiners, traders and end users from 25 countries. Sponsored this year by ENOC and in the presence of ENOC President and Lubricant Managing Director, the agenda provided wide variety of topics from recent updates in Base Oils market trends, globally and for the AMEA region. Lubricant technical evolution trends for both the automotive and industrial lubricant global markets, shared OEMs’ perspective on the lubricants market, focus on the regional growth market: India and a presentation from Cockett Group on global shipping trends 2017 and the impact on marine lubricants markets by Caroline Huot.

Caroline attended as a speaker which was a great opportunity for Cockett to be recognized as an expert in the marine field for both shipping and marine lubricants. We were able to increase visibility in our brand and our lubricants initiative as well as strengthen relationships with the executives from the Middle East area; with key suppliers to enrich our Supply Network and our commercial offer to ship owners and ship managers.
