Between 20 and 21 of October 2022, delegates from the bunkering industry met at ARACON 2022 in Rotterdam.

ARACON is a key forum where industry stakeholders share their expertise and insights on all aspects of the bunker industry, and where they spoke frankly and openly about the challenges and changes the sector is facing. From the vantage point of 2022, those challenges are unprecedented, profound, and potentially, long-lasting. This year subjects included how the ARA market and the wider shipping and bunker industry can recover from the economic shocks caused initially by COVID-19 and then by the war in Ukraine. The topic of Mass Flow Meters for Rotterdam was raised and, like many other events, increased digitalisation was also heavily discussed.

Among the attendees were Dennis Pronk and Vasiliki Balakera from our Cockett Rotterdam Office. Dennis, Group Technical Manager, stated, “It was great meeting up with old friends in the business and making new ones during the in-depth industry sessions.”
